One-Family Limestone in Midwood, $949K

One family Limestone at 821 East 15th Street in what the listing is calling ‘West Midwood’ with 5-bedrooms, one full bathroom, one 3/4 bath (shower) and a 1/2 bath. House has some original details like the staircase with wainscoting, trimmed openings and a lovely painted pier mirror in the living room.

Without a floor plan it’s hard to tell the configuration of the house. But it appears, there’s a bedroom on the main level in the back next to the kitchen. Hardly ideal and and may benefit removing it to create more entertaining space combined with an open kitchen, which needs an overhaul, as do the bathrooms.

Upstairs are 4-bedrooms, one full bath and a 1/2 bath ensuite. The flooring in the bedrooms is an unfortunate choice. Looks like it’s 12×12 vinyl tile. Could there be hardwood floors underneath?

The finished basement is a nice touch for added living space. and the concrete backyard is low maintenance.

There are lots of pictures on the webiste. More than what I’m including here.

The house backs up to the train. It’s practically in the backyard. Does this deter buyers or is the price low enough, or not low enough yet, for this to be a good deal?
